The 7th grade Advanced Via Individual Determination (AVID) class has adopted a group of elderly at Friendship Manor and visit the residents once a month to do activities and crafts. A couple of days before Thanksgiving, the Edison students brought craft supplies and made paper-bag turkeys to decorate the residents tables. 

 

"The students really enjoy their time at Friendship Manor," said AVID teacher Susan Meredith. "They really look forward to visiting each month. It's a great service project for the students and they have built some great friendships as well."
